Kolkata, India (Urban Transport News): Titagarh Group has confirmed the appointment of Dilip Jadeja, former Project Director of Alstom, as Chief Operating Officer – Transit & Propulsion.
Jadeja is a Strategic Business Leader with over 34 years of experience in leadership and execution in the areas of Business Development, Project Management, Interface Management, Project Execution, Engineering, Operations and Maintenance. They have an impressive mix across the rolling stock and propulsion system value chain including infrastructure, power systems, metro railways and railway systems.
His last assignment was with Alstom Transport India Limited as Project Director – Rolling Stock. He has also worked with IL&FS Rail Limited (Vice President – Rolling Stock & Electrical), Bombardier Transportation India Limited and BHEL.
He has graduated from Maulana Azad Institute of Technology in Mechanical Engineering.
Titagarh Group is the first Indian private entity engaged in manufacturing of trains for Indian Railways since 2007. The company has supplied over 250 transit systems to the Indian Railways, the most by any private rolling stock manufacturer in India.
Titagarh further strengthened its knowledge in the passenger division by acquiring an Italian company, Firema, in 2015.
Presently, Titagarh Firema SPA is manufacturing Rolling Stock (Metro Train Coach) for Pune Metro Rail Project.
