He said, Noida International Airport will play a major role in India’s growing aviation sector and will be a major center for maintenance, repair and operation of aircraft. He said that maintenance, repair and overhaul MRO facilities are coming in 40 acres, due to which hundreds of youth are getting employment. Today India spends thousands of crores of rupees to get these services abroad.
Commenting on the upcoming Integrated Multi-Modal Cargo Hub, he said that the airport would be very useful in a land-locked state like Uttar Pradesh. This hub will serve industrial hubs like Aligarh, Mathura, Meerut, Agra, Bijnor, Moradabad and Bareilly. He said that Khurja artisans, Meerut sports industry, Saharanpur furniture, Moradabad brass industry, Agra footwear and petha industry will get huge support from the upcoming infrastructure.
